When two souls collide

The more I ponder the subject and wonder what is fairy tale and what is real, I find my theories on love...somewhere in the middle. I'm sure they'll continue to change as my life changes.

Love doesn't just happen. It doesn't fall into your lap. It's not at first sight. It begins with choices. Love is what you make it. Love is a living thing. To keep it going you must feed it and nurture it. It is possible to die. If you care about your love, you'll want to make it flourish.

There is no such thing as "the one." There are many potential partners in your life and it is ultimately up to you to choose which one you are willing to spend your life with. They will all take you in different directions.

But, there is magic. Our souls aren't meant to be with just anyone. When you find a soul whose spirit collides with yours, it is precious. You must treasure it, treat it with respect. For this is a gift to you. It's your choice how you go from there.

What if things were different?

Imagine a different scenario than the one we are living today. What if I demanded more than you give me? Would you give more? What will you give, anyways? Your heart feels hard. I can't get through. I'm right beside it though. Will you ever want me in? Or anyone for that matter. What are your dreams. What do you imagine your future holding. Do you ever think about those things? If I stood my ground and said I'll only take what I feel I deserve, would you give it.. Or not? You're a precious soul who has had a long journey. I'm giving you time. Time to find your path and time to find love again in your heart. When you find it, I still wanna be there right beside it. Hasn't it been said that some people will wait their whole life for a once in a lifetime love?

The flowers are blooming

I'm ready to open up like when a flower is ready to bloom. My thoughts aren't meant to be kept to myself. I never share. But now I want to. I'm not sure how though. Does he know how deep I want to go? It's to the deepest depths of my soul. And I want to see his. The good and the bad. How do we get there babe? Every day must get us a step closer. All along it is all I have wanted. What do you want? I want to know so badly. A peek inside would be another step closer. Darling, don't be afraid. Time is everything. It might be one of the only things I believe in. I'll give you your time, love.

What is Real?

You grow up in a small town, raised in a baptist church, and attend a private christian school. It is all laid out for you, what is real and what is not. There are many rules and "facts" you must go by, for it is THE only way. 


So lets take a look at a picture that is a little bigger. A few towns away there are little boys and girls who are being taught from birth to the time they become an adult that there is no higher power. Everything happens by chance and people who became bored with their lives made up all of the different religions out there.


Now, lets take a look at the BIG picture. Across the world there are more beliefs than we even know about. Everyone thinks that their way is THE only way of life. But how can that be? Or can it? Is it possible for there to be multiple higher powers? Or is it merely the fact that you are able to BELIEVE in something that shows your open heart to the world. Who has the answer? What is real?

Lies

I used to tell myself a lie about the guys i date. Sometimes when you are in the beginning of a relationship you will notice that one is more interested in the other. Or, maybe one of the people is interested in a full blown relationship while the other is only looking for a sexual relationship. This has happened to me more than once now. It's always heartbreaking because if you are the one wishing you could get more serious, you obviously don't want to end the relationship... Even if they do only want you for sex. I'm sure that most of us girls have had the thought, "well maybe if I keep sticking around he will see how much I care about him and he will want to get more serious." WRONG! We lie to ourselves to make us think it's okay to keep hanging out with them. Of course if you both want the sexual relationship only than that's totally fine. So, keep in mind that this is for only couples that are on two different pages so to speak. My all time famous lie to myself is that when they say they love me, that they mean it...and even though they don't show it to me in the way we want them to, it's okay, because they are loving us as much as they possibly can. They are doing their very best to show us and we should be more appreciative. Again, WRONG!! We tend to get very discouraged at the point and time when we admit that we have being lying to ourselves. It sucks. So we head to our best friends for advice and support. Now, for me, I have alllll kinds of friends: ones in my predicament who sympathize with me, ones in my predicament who are still in denial that they are lying to themselves, and then thank GOD for the ones with the really great boyfriends who are very positive and upbeat and tell you, "let that loser go", "you deserve so much better", and my personal favorite, "stand up for yourself, for who you are and what you want. Be confident in yourself. Be happy and content being single, and when you are least expecting it the right one will come along!" without these friends of ours, we all would've turned emo because of all of these lies. So a good question is, "why do we start this entire viscous circle that hurts us in the end? Why don't we run at the first signs of this madness?" my only answer to us all is that we are GIRlS! It's what we do! When we love, we love with all we've got. So buckle up for this crazy roller coaster cause we've all got to ride it until we find Mr. Right!!!
